I’m thrilled about Kathryn Bigelow’s Best Director nom (of course!), & now I’m begging folks not to buy into the demeaning gossip!!! Imbedded in all the “Exes” BS is the not-so-subtle implication that Kathryn Bigelow is somehow riding on James Cameron’s coat tails, so those of us who know better must fight back!!!

Yes, it’s true—Kathryn Bigelow was once married to James Cameron, but, so what??? What matters most is that The Hurt Locker is a riveting film (rated 98% Fresh on RottenTomatoes), plus Bigelow has a solid record of Lifetime Achievement (including strong women leads in Blue Steel & The Weight of Water). So let’s all forget about her love life, her great legs, & other sexist distractions, & let’s focus on her work, OK?
