     The Hot Pink Pen is Chicago-based film critic JAN LISA HUTTNER, the creative force behind WITASWAN (”wit-uh-swan”): Women in the Audience Supporting Women Artists Now!

     An award-winning author, Jan writes regular columns as well as freelance articles for multiple print and internet outlets. In the past four years, she has done over two dozen presentations on WITASWAN-related topics all around Illinois and increasingly beyond. Her professional memberships include: Association for Women Journalists, Chicago Film Critics Association, Illinois Women’s Press Association, and Women in Film/Chicago.

     A lifelong movie buff, Jan received her B.A. from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland (the “Great Books” school), and Masters degrees in Psychology from Harvard University and the University of Chicago.
