Sixth stop on my “Jane Addams Day” roadshow: members of AAUW-Illinois’ Batavia/Geneva/St Charles Branch were able to retrieve the VHS tape from their recalcitrant VCR & send it to me overnight so that I could show DINNER AT JANE’S to members of the Wheaton/Glen Ellyn Branch as scheduled.
As I do everywhere, I urged Branch members to let all their local libraries, schools & bookstores know that “Jane Addams Day” is imminent. Books for children, teenagers, & adults can be ordered from Women & Children First bookstore (AAUW-Illinois “official partner” for online orders).
Thanks much to Program VP Marilyn Mayer Wiedermann for her eloquent introduction as well as all her insightful comments (based on her own reading).
