Sincere adaptation of memoir by Carolyn Briggs, Higher Ground is directed by & stars Vera Farmiga. “Corrine” (played as a teen by Farmiga’s sister Taissa) marries her rock musican boyfriend, but disappointment eventually drives them to seek consolation in religion.
