Well-intentioned dysfunctional family dramedy written by Shona Tuckman & directed by Carlo De Rosa has some good moments but never finds a core.
Josh Cooke plays “Kyle,” a novelist forced to move home when he runs out of friends with free sofas.
Kyle’s Dad (Barry Bostwick) & his brother Marshall (Tyler Bunch) are still frozen in place, but there is a new girl next door named, d’uh, “Joy” (Liane Balaban) who is now on hand for diversion. Does she represent the possibility of a fresh start? (JLH: 3/5)
