“Big Star” was a Memphis studio band that failed to find an audience in the 70s but has since become a cult phenom for Rock cognoscenti. Doc has lots of great footage but a muddled narrative line. If you go in cold (as we did) you may leave with more questions than answers (as we did). But the worst part is that none of the music was compelling, so why the fuss now?
