AATSINKI

Full Title = Aatsinki: The Story of Arctic Cowboys

CullingSet in northern Finland, Aatsinki: The Story of Arctic Cowboys is one of those docs (like Sweetgrass) that places cameras & then pretends the footage captured & edited by the filmmakers “speaks for itself.”

But even tho filmmaker Jessica Oreck presents many striking images (some of great beauty), most of the hows & whys of the narrative remain a mystery. (JLH: 3/5)

WARNING: Film contains graphic images of butchered reindeer.
