Three films written &/or directed by women filmmakers opened in Manhattan theaters this week:
- Back to the Fatherland
- Being Frank
- Blue Note Records: Beyond the Notes
This week, because there were only three, I was able to see all three–meaning one feature (Being Frank) and the two docs.
I thought they were all good in their way, but without question my Top Pick for June 7th (drumroll please!) is Blue Note Records: Beyond the Notes.
