Three films either written or directed by women filmmakers opened in Manhattan theaters this week:
Of these three, so far I’ve seen two. One — The Advocate — is a doc. Two — Clemency, Ip Man 4 –are narrative features.
My Top Pick for January 3rd (drumroll please!) is The Advocate, a documentary about Lea Tsemel, an Isreali human rights lawyer.
